November has been a busy semester for students at the CCC. We had the Rappahannock Council Against Sexual Assault (RCASA) come to our first table talk of November and speak to us about what all they do for the community. It was very informative and we enjoyed having them. On Sunday, November 6th, some of the students visited St. Mathius United Methodist. All of the members of the church were so welcoming and treated us like family.

On Friday the 11th, we handed out hot chocolate and cookies on campus walk. It was such a beautiful day and the cookies didn’t last long! One of our most anticipated events of the semester was later that day. The Harry Potter funtivity, planned by seniors Helen and Jordan, was a magical evening! Students were carried through all seven years, playing quidditch, casting spells, and of course there was a grand feast. I love this event so much because it was the first one I went to last year and now I don’t know what I would do without the CCC!

On Monday the 14th, Supper social was Disney themed! We played trivia and Disney’s Apples to apples, which was a much needed break from the stress of classes. Sammy and Grace always do such an amazing job planning supper social!

Throughout the week, we have weekly events that I try to go to. One of my favorites is Lunch Bunch, which is were anyone who has free time, meets and get lunch together! During this time, we share what’s going on in our lives and it’s a great time to bond! As the semester is winding down, it’s nice to be surrounded by supportive friends.
